Hi! I’m Sue Dyson…and I’m a sporadic crochet addict.
There. Now that we got that out of the way, let me tell you a bit about myself and then a bit about this website.
I’m a mom to three humans, a Nana to one sweetheart of a boy and a dog mama to my sweet Corgi cross, Gracie. I’ve been crocheting since I was about 9 or 10 and have tried just about every kind of crocheting there is. I also love that there are still things I am learning – stitches, techniques, etc.
I love the speed of crochet which is why I choose it over knitting (which I also love but do not blog about). I am actually what we call a multipotentialite (see Emilie Wapnick’s TED talk). I have a million things on the go BECAUSE IT MAKES LIFE INTERESTING. I have to admit, every once in awhile I do have to stop and work on my WIPs (*work in progress) and get them cleaned up. I’ve been known to leave a project for so long I can’t remember a) where the pattern came from or went, b) where I’m at in the project, and c) where the yarn came from anyway!
About the site
I blog and send out a weekly newsletter about interesting creative crochet stuff I find on the web and projects I’m working on. Some of my projects are definitely not exciting or exotic, but I like sharing them anyway. I like to share bizarre and outrageous stuff sometimes, too, because I think it reminds us to step outside of our little boxes from time to time. Or at least look outside!
You can find me on Ravelry as lacecrochet. Find and friend me. I’m more of a silent user, but hey, let’s hook up (LOL pun intended. See what I did there?!)
